A truck access pallet stretch wrapping machine lets a hand pallet truck set the pallet straight onto the turntable, so sites without a forklift at the wrapper can still wrap. On our M-type the turntable has a horseshoe (M-shaped) cut-out: the truck forks and load wheels run inside the slot at floor level, so no ramp is needed. An overhead pneumatic top press holds tall or soft loads such as filled bulk bags (FIBC) while the table turns. Wrapping data: 250% pre-stretch, 13 r/min turntable, loads up to 1,800 mm high.
The build above wraps a tall filled bulk bag on a pallet. The bag stands on the yellow horseshoe turntable, the pneumatic press plate comes down on its top, and only then does the table start. The dark mast carries the film carriage and the control box, and the film runs from the pallet deck to the top of the bag.

أهمية وصول الشاحنات
A standard turntable wrapper is loaded by forklift from the front or rear: the forks lift the pallet over the turntable edge and set it down. Many small warehouses, bulk bag filling stations and production cells move pallets with hand or electric pallet trucks. A pallet truck lifts a pallet only a little, and its load wheels sit under the pallet, so it cannot drive over a raised solid turntable without a ramp.
How the horseshoe cut-out turntable works
- Cut-out shape. The turntable is an open horseshoe, M-shaped in plan. The slot is wide and long enough for the truck forks and their load wheels, and it is open at floor level.

- Home position. At the end of the cycle the turntable stops with the slot facing the truck path again, so the truck can drive back in, lift the pallet and pull it out.
The stop position is what makes the design work: if the slot does not line up, the truck cannot enter. The turntable has a soft start and stop on a ring gear, and turntable alignment at the end of the cycle is a standard feature. The deck plate is 10 mm thick so the arms do not deflect under the pallet.
Why the cut-out replaces a ramp
With a solid turntable, a pallet truck needs an access ramp, which is an option on our wrappers. A ramp has three costs: the operator pushes the loaded truck up a slope, the ramp takes floor space in front of the machine, and the truck must stop on the turntable without rolling.
The horseshoe turntable removes the slope: the truck wheels stay on the floor the whole time, and only the pallet passes over the low deck. The pallet only has to clear the turntable deck height, which is 80–100 mm on the product page and is checked against your truck lift at quote.
Pneumatic top press for bulk bags
A filled bulk bag is tall and soft-sided. When the turntable starts, the top of the bag lags behind the base, and a loose bag can lean or shift on the pallet.
The pneumatic top press is a plate on an overhead arm. It is lowered onto the top of the bag before the turntable starts, holds the bag down while it turns and while the film goes on, and lifts clear before the truck drives in. The top press is an option on this machine. Press stroke, plate size and clamping force are set to your load and confirmed at quote.

Load note. The cut-out turntable carries less than a solid one. For pallets of 1.5–2 t we generally recommend one of our solid turntable wrappers, so the rated load for your pallet is confirmed at quote.
Worked example: tall bulk bag
Take a bulk bag of about 1,000 × 1,000 × 1,600 mm on a pallet, with 500 mm film at 50% overlap, 3 bottom and 3 top winds.

نتيجة. The bag fits by size and wraps in about 92 s with about 23 m of film, plus press-down and lift time. The truck enters and leaves through the slot, so no forklift is needed at the wrapper. Bag weight is checked against the rated load at quote.

Pallet wrapping machines are covered by EN 415-6, with the risk assessment to ISO 12100:2010. An open horseshoe turntable adds hazards a solid table does not have.
The slot edges pass the fixed frame as the table turns, so feet and truck wheels can be sheared or trapped. The operator also works close to the machine with the truck. The top press adds a crushing point under the plate. The risk assessment covers these points, and perimeter guarding, light curtains or safety edges are agreed per project.
The turntable starts only after the truck is out, and a red mushroom-head emergency stop and a lockable disconnect are fitted. Opening the film carriage door cuts power during film loading.

Q: Can a forklift still load it? A: Yes, from the front or rear as on a standard turntable.

Q: Does it need three-phase power? A: No. The standard supply is 220 V single phase, 50 Hz. The top press also needs compressed air.
