Orbital stretch wrapper for wooden, panel, profile Drives shall have, as a minimum, the following hardware features:

Orbital stretch wrapper packaigng machine with AC Power input – 480V, 3 phase, with lockable, molded case circuit
breaker for each drive. Phase rotation sensitive Armature Power Circuit
(a) 3 phase, full-wave rectified SCR bridge
(b) Overload 150% for 60 seconds, regardless of prior operating
load/heatsink temperature when operated in specified ambient
temperature service conditions
(c) dv/dt protection (snubbers)
(d) optional 2 or 4 quadrant AC or DC Contactor Dynamic Braking Contactor DC Output Fuse of wrapping machine Field Power Circuit
(a) AC line fuse(s)
(b) Single (or 3-phase) phase, full wave rectified bridge Hardwired E-Stop Input Isolated Fault Contact Output

14.5.10 Class Ratings of Drives in Different applications Process line drives below 250 HP shall be at minimum Class 3 rated. Mill drives for reel applications below 250 HP shall be minimum class 3
protection, below 1000 HP shall be minimum Class 2 protection, above
1000 HP shall be Class 1 protection. Mill Drives for main mill motors applications applications below 250 HP
shall be minimum class 3 protection, below 1000 HP shall be minimum
Class 2 protection, above 1000 HP shall be Class 1 protection.
14.5.11 Each drive shall have a fault display panel capable of displaying 2 lines of text.
14.5.12 A current licensed version of the drive manufacturer’s software that is used to
program, monitor or troubleshoot the drive shall be provided with the drives.
14.5.13 One drive shall be provided per motor. Bridle motors shall not be paralleled off a
common drive.
14.5.14 All drives of orbital stretch wrapper not housed in a control room shall be in NEMA 12 (or NEMA 4 where
applicable) gasketed enclosure. Where required, the enclosures shall be provided
with fans and filters or be air-conditioned.
14.5.15 Preferred drive manufacturers are Toshiba or Siemens. The Bidder shall advise
AB-BMU if they propose to use another manufacturer.
