An automatic carpet roll packing machine is designed for carpets, cloth, paper rolls, films, etc.
- Heavy duty construction using steel frames and components to handle the weight and friction from rolls and reams. These materials can be quite heavy, so the machine needs to be robust.
- Powerful roll handling equipment like industrial rollers, conveyors, manipulators to automatically feed, transfer and stock rolls.
- Automatic roll sealing, shrink wrappingand cutting equipment. This includes things like heat sealers, shrink film roll dispensers, cutters (blade, laser or hot wire), perforators, etc. These are needed to seal and package the rolls.The heat sealer would apply heat and pressure to shrink wrap plastic film around roll circumferences to create an airtight seal. Shrink tunnels can also be used. Sealing helps preserve freshness and prevents unraveling.
- Accumulation tables, input/output conveyors to automatically feed rolls into the packaging processand discharge packaged rolls. Continuous operation needs enough space for multiple rolls.Steel or hybrid conveyor belts, slats, cleats can be used on accumulation tables based on rolls friction and heaviness. More Steel for heavier rolls. Belt speeds match overall cycle times.
- Motion controls including actuators (electric, pneumatic, hydraulic),position sensors, limit switches, etc. to automate the handling, sealing, cutting and packing cycles.
- A PLC can sequence the motion controls through continuous packing cycles. It coordinates the recipricating routes of rollers, transverse film feeding, box erection paths, etc.Programmable logic controllers and variable frequency drivesto orchestrate the synchronized motion of all components in the automatic process.
- Safety features like light curtains, emergency stops, overload sensors, etc. This equipment will be moving heavy materials automatically.
- Optional: Sorting equipment like divert gatesif rolls need to be sorted by type/size/color before packing. Rotary carousels or S-curves can be used for sorting rolls.
- Sturdy base or forklift pocketsfor easy movement of the entire machine. Makes it more flexible and mobile.
